NOSOTROS PROJECT

Series | Documentary | Latin America

For one year, Priscila ( my partner) and I traveled through 14 Latin American countries documenting young artists from across the continent. We interviewed creative professionals from diverse fields such as design, illustration, fashion, comics, music and performing arts to portray our youth culture as urban and contemporary, free of stereotypes. All the content was shared in an online travel diary and published on IdeaFixa, one of Brazil’s leading visual arts platforms at the time.



In 2013, we signed a deal with +Globosat, one of Brazil’s top cable networks, and produced an original documentary series in three episodes. In addition to photos and videos, we also created illustrations and comics sharing stories and curiosities from the journey:

The Nosotros project was supported by Lomography and was a transformative experience that expanded my understanding of what it means to be Latin American, giving me a deeper, firsthand view of our continent’s cultural richness and diversity.

Awards & Festivals
In 2014, we were selected for Latinoamérica en Perspectiva at the Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano (Havana, Cuba) and won Best Film in the Film=Art category at Overlook 2014 – 5th CinemAvvenire Film Festival (Rome, Italy).
